SV Series
The SV space-qualified DC-DC converters are radiation-tolerant, thick-film, hermetic hybrids that provide continuous operation over the full military temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C with no power derating.

Space-Qualified, Hybrid DC-DC Converters
The SV Series of DC-DC converters are specifically designed for the harsh radiation environment of space. Performance is guaranteed through the use of radiation lot acceptance testing (RLAT). This series has been characterized to 60 krad(Si) for Total Ionizing Dose (TID) performance including Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (LDR) and 44 MeV/mg/cm² for Single Event Effects (SEE) according to VPT’s DLA-approved Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) plan.
The SV Series is radiation tolerant and suited for use in low Earth orbit (LEO), medium Earth orbit (MEO), geostationary orbit (GEO), deep space, lunar, and launch vehicle programs.
For new designs, we recommend considering our SVL Series. It offers the same footprint as the SV Series, however, with a significantly higher SEE rating (85 compared to 44 MeV/mg/cm²) while maintaining the same price point.
